The Birth Control Guide

The Problem

Getting reliable information about birth control is harder than it should be. Online resources are inconsistent, often biased, and framed around assumptions about why you're looking. I experienced this firsthand — and couldn't find a single resource that answered my actual questions without an agenda attached.

Birth control is not "one size fits all."

The Research

A survey of 50 women ages 18–25 confirmed the gap. Over half still had unanswered questions after researching. Most preferred a physical resource over another website. That response defined the deliverable.

Identity & Brand

"Jane Doe" was chosen for its neutrality and its nod to Artemis, the Greek goddess of young women. Direct, judgment-free, and impossible to misread — like the resource itself.

Design & Production

A 7" × 7" booklet outlined five method categories, each color-coded. Every spread follows the same template: actual-size imagery, efficacy, pros and cons, cost. Medically accurate, but conversational. And most importantly, no judgment.
